When we try to avoid the truth of old age, sickness, and death, difficulties appear. Despite our fear, impermanence is utterly natural. When we face it directly, what do we discover?
The koan in this talk is “Ruiyan’s Constant Principle,” Case 75 from the Book of Serenity. It was given at ZCNYC on March 4, 2012.
